Captain Team Management ("Captain," "the App," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Captain Team Management LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optionally a profile photo.

Team and Roster Data
We collect information about teams you create or join, including member names, roles (coach, player, guardian), jersey numbers, positions, date of birth, and emergency contact details. This information is entered by you or your coach.

Messages and Media
We store messages you send within the App, including text, photos, and file attachments.

Calendar and Events
We store events you create or respond to, including dates, locations, RSVP responses, and carpool arrangements.

Device Information
We collect your device's push notification token, platform (iOS/Android), and OS version to deliver notifications and provide support.

Subscription Data
We store your subscription status (active, trial, expired) as reported by RevenueCat. We do not collect or store payment card information.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate all features of the App
• Allow you to communicate with your team
• Send push notifications for messages, events, and updates
• Process and manage your subscription
• Respond to support requests
• Improve the App's features and fix bugs

We do not use your information for advertising and we do not sell your personal data to third parties.

How We Share Your Information

With Your Team Members
Information you provide — such as your name, profile photo, messages, and event responses — is shared with other members of your team. This is necessary for the App to function.

With Service Providers
We share data with third-party services that help us operate the App. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may only use it to provide services to us.

As Required by Law
We may disclose your information if required by applicable law, court order, or government authority.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Supabase (supabase.com) — backend infrastructure, user authentication, database storage, and file storage for photos and attachments.

RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) — subscription management and purchase validation. RevenueCat receives your user ID and subscription status.

Apple (apple.com) — App Store distribution (iOS), Sign In with Apple authentication, and push notification delivery via Apple Push Notification Service (APNs).

Google (google.com) — Google Play Store distribution (Android) and push notification delivery via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).

Expo (expo.dev) — push notification infrastructure and app delivery framework.

Data Retention

We retain your account information, messages, and team data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Data Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including using encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission and storing data in Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Captain Team Management is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without consent, please contact us at support@captainteammanagement.com and we will delete the information promptly.

Players who are minors may use the App if a parent or guardian has consented and manages their account.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. The "Effective Date" at the top of this policy indicates when the latest version took effect. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
